Sunday, April 6th, the River City Cycle Club is hosting the Island Cup XC MTB race in the Campbell River Snowden trails.

The River City Cycle Club is excited to introduce a NEW course for 2025 featuring adaptive flow trail Tres Hombres! We’ve opened a new adaptive loop thanks to Destination Development BC funding! This course has a down country feel with improved passing opportunities that will put a smile on your face! The 11.5km course will consist of 30min short laps with a 250m climb & descent.
During the race, we encourage spectators to bring noisemakers & cheer on the participants as they blaze through the Lost Lake lot.
Participants will enjoy a pizza party from CR Boston Pizza & a cold beverage after the race!
Our Rehab Sponsors will be present to make sure participants feel great during the event!

RACE DAY SCHEDULE
• 9:00-10:30 – Registration package pickup in Lost Lake parking lot.
• 11:00 – Expert race start
• 11:01 – Intermediate Race Start
• 11:02 – Beginner/Youth Race Start
• 2:00ish – Awards & Pizza in Lost Lake parking area

GETTING THERE & PARKING
**The John Hart Dam is closed; use the alternate route**
-Follow B.C. 19-N
-Turn left on Duncan Bay Rd (Loveland Bay & Snowden Rec Trails Alternate Access)
-Keep left onto Gordon Rd
-Stay straight onto Snowden Rd
-Turn left onto Brewster Lake Rd
-Turn right onto Brewster Lake Rd (Loveland Bay)
**gravel road can be rough; take your time & watch for potholes for approx 3kms**
-Parking attendants will assist you to find a spot (approx. 5min ride to registration at the Lost Lake lot)
NOTE: Cell coverage is poor to non-existent in this area
