In 2024, 146 BC workers died from a workplace injury or disease, with each loss leaving behind devastated family & friends. Every year, workers, families, employers & others come together at events held around the province to remember those who have lost their lives on the job, and to renew our commitment to creating safer workplaces. Events feature moments of silence, guest speakers & more. It begins at 10am. To learn more about the Courtenay event, visit City of Courtenay.
