Real Canadian Superstore Spring Food Drive
While donations to local food banks are always high during the holiday season, people in Campbell River struggle with food insecurity throughout the year.
The Real Canadian Superstore Spring Food Drive is Thursday, March 31 through to the Easter weekend. People can make donations in store, which go directly to supporting the Campbell River food bank. After 2 years of a pandemic & a long winter, many local food banks are now in dire need of community support in order to continue to help feed growing numbers of hungry Canadians. The store will be collecting food & cash donations at the Island Highway location in Campbell River, which will benefit the Campbell River & District food bank. They’re also in need of healthy non-perishable like wholegrain cereals, peanut butter, pasta, pasta sauces, canned fish, meat, fruits & vegetables, baby formula & shelf-stable milk products.
