Tuesday, November 11th, honour our veterans, those lost & those still with us, with Remembrance Day ceremonies in Courtenay & the Comox Valley.
The 2025 Remembrance Day ceremony in Courtenay will be held at the cenotaph, followed by a parade, the wreath-laying ceremony & more.
The parade starts at approximately 10:30 a.m., with a service beginning at approximately 10:50 a.m. and a Fly-past around 11:05 a.m., followed by the wreath-laying. Please note that parking will not be available in certain areas, such as Jubilee Square and Cliffe Avenue between 4th and 3rd streets.
The City of Courtenay offices will be closed. BC Hydro is offering free transit and ferry rides for veterans on Remembrance Day.
The Comox Branch #160 of the Royal Canadian Legion will also host a ceremony, with a parade at 10:30 a.m. and a wreath-laying at 10:45 a.m., followed by a fly-past.
There is a "Lest We Forget" Remembrance Day concert scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Comox United Church.
