Complete Contest Rules and Regulations:

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

    • Contest is open to all persons residing in British Columbia who have reached the age of majority (19) by June 15th, 2024, with Canadian Government Issued Photo ID.
    • Contest runs June 1st - 14th 2024, Winner announced live on-air June 14th 2024 at the end of the Raven Broadcast at Campbell River Boatland.
  2. TO ENTER:

    • Participants must go to Campbell River Boatland in person, ask for an entry form, fill it out completely & drop it into the golden draw barrel.
    • Contest participants can only enter once per day. If found to be entering more than one time per day, participants will automatically be disqualified.
    • 2 entries per person will be allowed on the final day, June 14th, 2024.
    • Any entries that are illegible, incomplete or irregular may be declared invalid. All entry information & images become property of The Raven & Campbell River Boatland.
  3. GRAND PRIZE:

    • 2 tickets to see Chris Stapleton live at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, 2 vehicle passes and 2 passenger passes for the BC Ferries, $500 to be used for expenses or accommodations.
    • Winner must sign a waiver which waives 100.7 The Raven, Campbell River Boatland, Suzuki & BC Ferries free from any liability which may be incurred while traveling to the US.
    • Winner & guest are solely & personally responsible for their own transportation, lodging, expenses and/or otherwise while traveling to see the concert.
    • Winner & guest are solely responsible for producing their own passports & required government documentation to travel into the US, as well as all health insurance or applicable coverage otherwise.
    • Contest sponsors, their employees & families cannot be held liable for any problems incurred while traveling into the US for the use of this prize. The contest winner & guest accept this responsibility.
    • Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.
    • Prize may not be resold, traded or bartered otherwise.
    • Prize winner must contact & make tour arrangements with The Raven directly to claim the prize. Government issued, photo ID will be required at all times.
    • Contest winner & guest must fully read & complete all required waivers to the satisfaction of The Raven & all sponsors before taking possession of the prize.
    • Date of the concert is Saturday, July 27th, 2024.
    • 100.7 The Raven, Campbell River Boatland & all sponsors reserve the right to use contestant’s names, images and recorded media in any format for our own promotional purposes indefinitely.
    • The Raven, Campbell River Boatland & all sponsors are not responsible for any technical problems incurred during the course of the contest by any participants.
    • Employees, associates, family members or anyone domiciled with members or associates of The Raven, Campbell River Boatland & sponsors are not qualified to enter this contest.
    • The Raven reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, amend, suspend or terminate any of the contest rules, in any way, any time and for any reason whatsoever, without prior notice.
    • Chances of winning this contest are dependent on the number of eligible entries received.
  4. ADDITIONAL TERMS:

    • The winner and guest are responsible for all personal safety, health, and well-being during the trip. The Raven, Campbell River Boatland, Suzuki, BC Ferries, and any associated sponsors are not responsible for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during the trip.
    • It is the winner’s responsibility to comply with all applicable laws and regulations during their travel.
    • The prize is non-transferable and cannot be given to another person.
    • If the winner cannot fulfill the requirements, an alternate winner will be drawn.
    • The contest is void where prohibited by law.
    • The contest will be governed by the laws of British Columbia. Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with applicable laws.

 

INDEMNIFICATION BY ENTRANT: The contest winner agrees to hold harmless and indemnify The Raven, Campbell River Boatland, Suzuki, and BC Ferries from any third-party claims arising directly or indirectly from:

  1. The entrant’s participation in the contest.
  2. The entrant’s acceptance, receipt, use, or misuse of any prize.
  3. The entrant’s breach of any of the contest rules.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: The Raven and Campbell River Boatland assume no liability for:

  1. Any late, incomplete, inaccurate, illegible, lost, stolen, damaged, or undelivered entries, notifications, responses, replies, or other communications.
  2. Any error, omission, interruption, congestion, deletion, defect, or delay caused by computer hardware or software, telephone, internet, network, cable, satellite, server, or any other hardware, software, technical, or human errors that could affect the transmission of entries, notifications, responses, replies, or other communications in relation to this contest.
  3. Any incorrect or inaccurate information provided in the administration of this contest for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation, due to tampering, hacking, incorrect website use, computer hardware or software, telephone, internet, network, cable, satellite, server, or any other hardware, software, technical, or human errors.
  4. Any other errors or difficulties of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic, or otherwise, relating in any way to this contest, including errors, problems, or difficulties that may relate to the administration of the contest, the processing of entries, the advertising of this contest, the announcement of any prize or prize winner, or the cancellation or postponement of any event.
  5. Any decision to modify, amend, suspend, or terminate this contest, the general contest rules, and/or any specific contest rules announced for this contest, in any way, at any time, and for any reason whatsoever, whether for reasons outside the control of The Raven and Campbell River Boatland or otherwise.

Further, each entrant agrees that any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket expenses incurred for the entrant to participate in this contest. These costs shall in no event include legal fees, punitive, incidental, and consequential damages, or any other damages, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses.

If any provision of the general contest rules or any specific contest rules announced for this contest is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision of the general contest rules and any specific contest rules announced for this contest, which shall remain in full force and effect.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • All entrants must be able to verify their eligibility and provide any requested identification or documentation to confirm their eligibility to participate in the contest.

DISQUALIFICATION:

  • The Raven and Campbell River Boatland reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who is found to have violated the contest rules, tampered with the entry process, or engaged in any fraudulent activity.

PRIZE ACCEPTANCE:

  • The winner must accept the prize within 7 days after being notified. Failure to accept the prize within this period may result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected.

PUBLICITY RELEASE:

  • By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, likeness, and any statements made by the winner regarding the contest or sponsors for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

TAX IMPLICATIONS:

  • The winner is solely responsible for any taxes, fees, or costs associated with the receipt of the prize.

FORCE MAJEURE:

  • The Raven, Campbell River Boatland, and sponsors are not responsible for any failure to conduct the contest due to events beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, or any other events that would make it impossible to conduct the contest.

DATA PRIVACY:

  • Personal information collected from entrants will be used in accordance with The Raven’s privacy policy. Entrants consent to the collection and use of their personal information by entering the contest.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES:

  • Any changes to the contest rules will be communicated to participants via the contest website or other appropriate channels.

Keeping Our Word

 

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
