100.7 The Raven Takes Top Spot In BBQ Sauce Media Challenge

100.7 The Raven came out on top at this weekend’s Comox Valley Ribfest BBQ Rib Sauce Media Challenge.

Three other local outlets joined in the fun - Eagle and Jet FM, and Black Press.

Earlier this month, The Raven invited listeners to submit their best BBQ sauces. We received five entries from local sauce experts.

After a staff BBQ to taste and evaluate all the sauces, we chose KnucklePuck MGK BBQ's creation.

Owner and Sauce Master Keith Mitchell represented The Raven at the official sauce showdown, judged by the festival's BBQ Masters.

The Raven emerged as the clear winner, but we extend our congratulations to the others, who all tied for second place.

The three day food and music festival at Cumberland Village Park also helped raise funds for local and international rotary projects.
