5.2 Magnitude Quake Hits Off Port Alice

Another earthquake hit off of Vancouver Island last night.

The 5.0 magnitude quake struck at 9:37pm, 130 km west of Port Alice.

There was no tsunami warning issued and no damage was reported, nor is any expected.

It follows Friday’s earthquake off Sechelt with a magnitude of 4.7.

Tremors were felt on the Sunshine Coast, Metro Vancouver as well as Vancouver Island.
