The wind storms have caused some significant closures in our listening area.
BC Hydro is working to restore power to thousands as strong winds downed trees and power lines. As many as 225-thousand customers were without at one point on Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, and Sunshine Coast.
The arrival of the storm is a reminder to drivers that weather conditions can change quickly at this time of year, and to be prepared for the onset of winter road conditions.
