The Comox Air Show is ready to go on Saturday.

19 Wing Comox is celebrating the RCAF’s 100 years of service.

The gates are open from 9am to 4pm tomorrow.

BC Transit and the Comox Valley Regional District will be offering free shuttles starting at 8:30 am, leaving every 15 minutes from the transit exchanges at North Island College and the Comox Mall.

Both will stop along the way and free parking will be available at both the College and the Comox Mall. Shuttles will be leaving the airshow from Military Row near the Glacier Gardens Arena throughout the day until 6:00 pm.

Aerial performers include the CF Snowbirds, the CF-18 Demo Team, 19 Wing’s own CH-149 Cormorant and CP-140 Aurora, as well as the CC-130 Hercules performing a Search and Rescue para-drop.

Other invited performance aircraft include the KC-135 Stratotanker and CH-146 Griffon. Invited static aircraft include the CH-148 Cyclone, the new Airbus 330, United States Coast Guard Jayhawk, and Dolphin helicopters, as well as a USCG Hercules, and a PBY Canso from Canadian Heritage Warplanes.
