The community is being reminded that Highway 4 at Cameron Lake Bluffs will be closed Tuesday for work to ensure it can re-open to two-lane traffic before the Labour Day long weekend.
Tuesday’s midday flush of vehicles will be suspended, and the highway will remain closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to give crews the best opportunity to complete work.
The detour route will remain available until Highway 4 is fully reopened by Labour Day.
Crews have to finish up with the last half of barrier and catchment fencing. They’ll also need to do some paving and painting and get the signs back up.
Since work began to repair the damage after the Cameron Lake Bluffs fire, crews have removed approximately 200 dangerous trees and 1,000 tonnes of rock debris.
