School boards across the province are currently working on next year’s operating budget, and Comox Valley Schools are looking for input for parents and residents.

Boards of Education operate on a fiscal year of July 1st to June 30th, which need to be adopted and submitted to the Ministry of Education by June 30th.

The Comox Valley Schools Board says it is laying out priorities for students for the upcoming year, while working on projections for student enrollment, and the costs of providing existing services into the next year.

The board is accepting feedback on the draft budget recommendations before amending and/or approving the budget for 2024/2025.
Residents have until tomorrow to offer opinions online at Comox Valley Schools.

For those with School District 72, the deadline is Friday at 4pm.
