The public is invited to an information meeting about the new line-up of Campbell River ElderCollege courses for students aged 50-plus.

The meeting will be held at the Campbell River campus of North Island College on Friday, September 20th, at 1:30 p.m. Course leaders will be present to tell people what’s on offer and answer any questions.

This is the program’s 20th year offering informative, interesting and inexpensive courses that provide lifelong opportunities for people 50-plus.

From a humble start in 2004, providing just five courses, Campbell River ElderCollege has steadily grown course lists and membership.

Members on the far side of 50 can now gain access to as many as 50 courses annually, at minimum cost and without the stress of grades or exams.

Campbell River ElderCollege is volunteer-run and self-funded.

There are also many volunteering opportunities available, and they’re always looking for new course leaders.

More information is available at www.nic.bc.ca/CREC

Registration for courses opens on Monday, September 23 at 9 a.m. People interested in taking courses can register online or in person at North Island College.

For more information, visit North Island College.
