The Campbell River Fire Department is opening its doors again this weekend.
The Fire Hall Open House at the #1 Fire Station on 13th Avenue is happening from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
This free, family-friendly event provides fun and exciting opportunities for the public to learn more about the department, and fire safety.
There will be lots of activities, including exploring the Fire Safety House, practicing your aim with a fire hose, trying out hydraulic power tools, and getting a ride into the sky by the tower truck.
“The Campbell River Fire Department does amazing work to keep our community safe,” says Fire Chief Dan Verdun.
“Our annual open houses are fantastic opportunities to meet our firefighters and dispatchers and to see demonstrations of some of the skills we use when we respond to emergencies."
