Campbell River RCMP are investigating an early morning stabbing which left a victim with serious injuries.
At approximately 4:30 am yesterday, police were called to a stabbing that had just occurred near the corner of 13th Avenue and Dogwood Street.
Upon attendance, a 31-year-old male victim was located with multiple stab wounds.
He was transported to hospital with serious injuries, however, is expected to survive.
Police identified several people at the scene who were uncooperative with the investigation.
The victim also did not provide further details. Preliminary investigation has determined that the victim and suspect are likely known to each other.
At this time, police do not believe there is an ongoing risk to the general public.
