While many city services will be closed Friday, the Campbell River Storm will be seeing action - and will be doing it in a way to show support on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The Storm have a new orange-based third jersey which they will debut tomorrow night against the Nanaimo Buccaneers The team commissioned local First Nation artist Jessica Chickite to design the logo for the jersey.

The Storm has two current First Nation players - Wyatt Dumont and Brady Estabrook, and both say they are playing in honour of their family members who are residential school survivors.

Puck drops at the Rod Brind’Amour Arena at 730pm Friday night at the Brindy.
