The City of Campbell River will be activating the warming centre at the Community Centre this evening, until at least Tuesday morning.
On all four nights the warming centre will be open from 10pm to 7am the following morning as a place for people to get out of the cold, snow, and rain.

Environment Canada says we can look forward to several days of unsettled winter weather, into next week.
The weather agency issued a special statement on Wednesday and it's still in effect for East Vancouver Island, including Courtenay to Campbell River, along with the Southern Gulf Islands, Sunshine Coast, Howe Sound, Whistler, Metro Vancouver, and Fraser Valley.
A low pressure system is spreading steady precipitation across the region.
Temperatures will rise today, and most areas will see just rain throughout the day before a cold front moves across the region later today into this evening.
Flurries or snow, and cold temperatures Saturday and Sunday, but accumulations are uncertain.
Next week, very cold and dry air is expected with temperatures 5 to 8 degrees Celsius below seasonal.
