Camping may not be top of mind with the recent blast of winter weather, but Cumberland Lake Park Campground is gearing up for the upcoming season.

It begins with the opening of campground and sleeping barrel reservations for the upcoming season on March 3rd, with week-long reservations opening Feb 14th.

The sleeping barrels were installed last year with support from the Province of BC and the Island Coastal Economic Trust. Each features a queen-size mattress, heat pump, benches, a pull-out table, mini-fridge, and a bubble window showcasing stunning lake views.

Week-long reservations open on February 14th at 10 AM. This early booking window excludes the summer season (June 16 – September 7), except for the group site.

General reservations and summer camp registration begin on March 3rd at 10 AM.

Campers can book online at Cumberland Lake Park and are encouraged to have backup options, as campsites are expected to fill quickly.

Lake Park Society, a non-profit organization entrusted with managing and programming Cumberland Lake Park and Campground since 2015, describes itself as working to create wonder and connection through outdoor experiences with the vision of creating an inclusive community hub for outdoor adventure.
