The City of Campbell River is highlighting a number of projects made possible through the Canada Community Building Fund.
From the Sportsplex Rehabilitation Project to work on the Baikie Island bridge, and pedestrian crossings, 17 community infrastructure projects benefited from over $2.88 million from the fund last year.
The Sportsplex project received $1.95 million for a roof replacement and fresh paint job.
Other projects included the installation of bus shelters around town, and the installation and enhancement of various pedestrian crossings within the community.
Work was also completed on Willow Point Park, Campbellton Parkettes, cycling infrastructure, Robron pickleball courts, and more.
Mayor Kermit Dahl says these large-scale infrastructure projects are essential to the upkeep and advancement of the community, enhancing the lives of Campbell River residents.
