It’s moving from its current location on Cliffe Avenue and becoming a “remote-first” organization.
The Chamber says it’s shifting operations “to elevate member services and engage with the community in a more collaborative and inclusive way.”
The business group says the most impactful work it can do is to “actively engage with the business community, in the community.”
In a release, the Chamber says the way of work is evolving, and traditional bricks and mortar operations are no longer necessary nor relevant.
Part of the organizational change includes digitizing and modernizing internal systems, and integrating digital systems, allowing members to pay annual dues from their smartphone or desktop.
Executive Director Paris Gaudet says, as with most organizational changes, they anticipate a few bumps during the transition.
