The Economic Update report presents a variety of economic indicators that will help clarify the impact of ongoing economic turbulence.
The report dove into a few categories, checking the status on Population Growth, development, housing and real estate, employment and travel and tourism.
The report also contains information about some of the economic programs recently offered by the City, including the launch of the Modern Entrepreneur at the 50th Parallel Podcast and the Modern Entrepreneur Speaker Series focused on workforce development.
The City is also proud to be a regional partner supporting the pilot of a new Circular Economy Accelerator Program run by Vancouver Island Coast Economic Developers Association and Synergy Foundation.
Economic Development Manager Rose Klukas says economic indicators provide insights into the state of the economy at a given time and, over time, can also help identify trends and patterns.
The City will continue monitoring these and other indicators to track Campbell River’s economy and will release updates in future reports.
