City Of Campbell River To Hold Kite Flying Day At Ostler Park Saturday

Friday, June 9, 2023 at 8:16 AM

By Jay Herrington

It’ll be a great day Saturday to go fly a kite!

The City of Campbell River presents Kite Flying Day at Ostler Park.

You can bring the family & your kites down for a flying extravaganza, with prizes to be won, shoo shoo the clown, tasty treats, a Rotary hot dog BBQ fundraiser & more.

It takes place from 10am to 2pm tomorrow - and is open to everyone.

Meanwhile, Courtenay Recreation says it has to cancel this year’s Father’s Day Kite Fly event. The Kite Fly was previously scheduled for June 18 at Goose Spit Park in Comox.

While the event isn’t running this year, Courtenay Rec says it is hopeful for its return next year.
