The City of Campbell River is updating its Master Transportation Plan and is looking for input from local residents.
A Community Ideas Fair will be held on Thursday, July 14th, from 4pm to 8pm at the Community Centre Lounge.
The new and comprehensive master plan will have sustainability as its guiding principle and will provide a visionary framework for future transportation in Campbell River, including an implementation strategy with financial costs.
It also looks at current and future transportation needs and alternate transportation choices and opportunities, exploring walking, cycling, transit, and car use in Campbell River over the next 20 years.
City Manager Deborah Sargent says the insights of Campbell River residents are essential contributions to the updated MTP, and the city wants to hear from as many as possible.
In addition to next week's Community Ideas Fair, a survey is available online and at City Hall now until Saturday, August 6th.
Pop-up booths will also appear around the community in the coming months, including at the Farmer’s Market on Sunday, July 17.
