Campbell River and Comox Valley residents made it out on the Coldest Night Of The Year over the weekend to raise money for local charities that provide services to women facing homelessness.

In person events took place across the country on Saturday.

The Campbell River walk raised more than $53,000 - 75% of their goal.

The event in the Comox Valley has raised more than $178 000 - 79% of their goal.

While the Coldest Night of the Year was held on Saturday, people are still fundraising & walking virtually until the end of the month.

Donations in the Comox Valley support the Comox Valley Transition Society and Dawn to Dawn while in Campbell River, funds support the Campbell River & North Island Transition Society.
