The first-ever Baby Race will be part of the festivities at Comox's Nautical Days.

The event will see six babies crawling from one end to an awaiting caregiver at the other side. Part of the fun is seeing how the babies approach the race.

While some might crawl right across, others may take a longer route.

The babies start moving at 4:30 p.m. on Aug 5.

It’s free to sign up for the event but only six babies will take part.

The 66th Anniversary of Comox Nautical Days takes place this weekend, Saturday-Monday, August 3rd-5th, in and around Marina Park
