The first in a series of open houses takes place on Tuesday as Comox Strathcona Waste Management works on renewing its solid waste management plan.
It’s looking for input on the long-term vision of solid waste management for the region. The multi-year process will outline how garbage, recycling, yard, and food waste programs are managed over the next decade.
They’ll be setting up at the Fanny Bay Community Hall from 5pm to 7pm today. They’ll be in Union Bay tomorrow and Courtenay on Thursday.

Online, feedback will be collected until September 25th at Comox Strathcona Waste Management.
The CSWM service area population has grown 13% since the last plan update in 2012.
