The Comox Valley Airport reminds travellers about the parking situation as the busy holiday season is upon us.

As passenger numbers rise, the parking lots at the airport are expected to fill quickly. To make your journey as smooth as possible, staff are encouraging people to take a taxi, ride-share or shuttle service.

A drop-off by a friend or family member is always a good option.

If driving is your only option, it should be noted that parking spaces may fill up fast.

"At YQQ, we’re committed to making your holiday travel as easy and enjoyable as possible," says Comox Valley Airport CEO Mike Atkins.

"With a little planning and some friendly transportation options, you can skip the stress and focus on what matters most—your journey and your loved ones."

To ensure a relaxed experience, plan to arrive well ahead of your flight. Follow your airline’s guidelines for check-in and security screening times.

Complete your check-in online and print your boarding pass before heading to the airport.
