The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce is taking a pause to reflect on 2022 - and looking ahead to the New Year.

Executive Director Paris Gaudet says the Chamber is excited for a new year with fresh initiatives and a renewed focus, embracing its roots as a Board of Trade.

In 2023, the Comox Valley Chamber says it will focus efforts on advocacy, networking, and professional development initiatives, pivoting its services to meet the changing and evolving needs of the business community.

The most recent change is the date of the Chamber Business Awards. The original date was set for January, but they’ve made the decision to host the event on May 11 instead.

This change allows the team to secure additional nominations and have more time for planning.

The Chamber intends to re-launch nominations after the holiday season and unveil what the new awards will look like.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
