By Jay Herrington

Comox Valley First Responders and Canadian Armed Forces are teaming up in a charity hockey game against the Comox Valley Glacier Kings tonight.

The event is raising funds - and awareness - for Wounded Warrior Run BC.

All proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Foundation, a nationally recognized organization and mental health service provider dedicated to serving ill and injured Trauma Exposed Professionals & their families.

This includes Military, Police, Fire Fighters, Paramedics, Corrections Officers & Health Care Workers.

The wounded Warrior Foundation provides approximately 330,000 hours of clinical treatment to roughly 2,000 Veterans, First Responders and their family members each year.

If you don’t have your tickets - you can buy them at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.

Puck drops at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
