Comox Valley RCMP are looking for help with an alleged assault that occurred in June.

Police say they have been investigating an assault that occurred on Huband Road in Courtenay on Saturday, June 15th, and are now seeking additional information from the public.

A woman reported she had been assaulted at her residence. She told police she was outside closing her gate at approximately 10:30 p.m. when a man grabbed onto her arm.

She said that she struck him in the head and then ran into her residence.

She described him as having a scruffy beard, in his 40s, between 5’8 to 5’9, with an average build. He was wearing a black hoodie with white writing.

“We are committed to establishing the full circumstances surrounding this incident. Said Constable Monika Terragni, Media Relations Officer, Comox Valley RCMP.

“Our primary goal is to gather all available information to ensure a thorough and accurate investigation.”

Constable Terragni says even small details, or seemingly insignificant information can make a difference in the investigation.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to call Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321 and refer to file 2024-8986.
