Comox Valley residents can get a look Tuesday night at the future of recreation in the Valley.
“Ensuring the community has access to enjoyable, affordable and accessible recreational facilities is a key task for the CVRD,” said Melanie McCollum, Chair, Comox Valley Recreation Commission.
“Making an informed, fiscally-responsible plan to maintain and expand these facilities is an important piece of achieving this goal.”
The CVRD is hosting two community information sessions on work done to date to assess current facilities and use as well as to advise on the next steps in the Comox Valley Recreation Commission’s strategic planning direction.
The first is happening tonight from 5pm to 7pm at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.
That will be followed by an online Zoom webinar, this Thursday, from 12pm to 1pm.
The CVRD says the studies, assessments and public outreach over the last few years have laid the groundwork for the proposed facility improvements.
Before any construction begins, there are still a number of studies and work to be completed.
