A Bollywood film shot mostly in the Comox Valley is screening in Courtenay this weekend.

Safarzade: The Princess and the Iron Horses - revolves around seven Sikh bikers who embark on a journey to save an Indian princess from the clutches of her wicked stepmother’s huntsman.

Set against the backdrop of the Comox Valley, the film showcases the picturesque landscapes of Canada, weaving together the timeless themes of love, bravery, and sacrifice, delivering a beautiful message of virtues and righteousness.

The movie holds the distinction of being the first motion picture in the history of the Indian Film Industry to be entirely shot on the road.

It will be premiering for one showing only at the Stan Hagen Theatre in Courtenay tomorrow beginning at 2pm.
