Courtenay Canada Day Celebrations

Planning for the Courtenay Canada Day Celebrations is well underway and the organizing team has secured the headline performers including acclaimed singer/songwriter Fred Penner, Ten Souljers and George Leach.

These free performances take place at Lewis Park on June 30 and July 1.

Courtenay Canada Day details will be available by June 10 including a full schedule of events at https://www.courtenay.ca/EN/main/canada-day.html

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
