Cumberland Fire Rescue responded to a fire earlier this week at an abandoned recreational vehicle left in the Union Road area.
The cause of the Monday morning fire has not yet been determined. The Village was in the process of having the RV removed for disposal.
Recreational vehicles can burn quickly and can have propane and other fuels within, putting firefighters at risk.
Despite the cold weather, the fire could have spread to surrounding forests, the adjacent cemeteries, and neighbouring industrial properties - but crews managed to knock it down in time.
Cumberland Fire Rescue asks the community to be vigilant around fuels, chimneys, cigarettes, and other sources of fuel and heat to keep everyone safe this winter.
