Cumberland Community Schools Society is hosting a Babysitter Meet and Greet event at Cumberland Community School next week.
It’s happening Thursday, November 21st from 430pm to 630pm.
This kid friendly event provides the opportunity for parents to meet youth in their neighbourhood who are keen to start their babysitting careers.
It gives children the opportunity to get to know their future babysitter before they come over, and youth can decide if the family is the right fit for them as well.
Babysitters are offering a range of services from date nights, to after school care, and even entertaining toddlers while parents work from home.
“We have been hosting prep sessions to get the students ready for this event. They have been making posters advertising their individual skills and practicing interview questions. The students are very excited for this event and to start or continue their babysitting careers,” says Kate Ashton, Program Coordinator at Cumberland Community Schools Society.
“Bring the kids to the event, have a cup of tea and a cookie and get ready to start planning a date night!”
The babysitters are students at Cumberland Community School in grades 6 through 8.
They live in either Cumberland or the Royston area and as such, the event is targeted to families that live in those areas as well.
