It will be another busy long weekend on British Columbia highways and motorists are urged to stay alert and drive safely.

In a release from the Ministry of Transportation, officials are reminding everyone to keep an eye out for large trucks and motorcycles.

When passing a truck, make sure you can see both its headlights in your rear-view mirror before merging back.

Many motorcyclists are still on the highways heading into September.

Riders and drivers are urged to share the road responsibly.

Keeping Our Word

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
