Canadians will vote in a federal election in a little more than a month.
Prime Minister Mark Carney asked Governor General Mary Simon yesterday to dissolve Parliament and call a federal election on Monday, April 28th. Carney won the Liberal leadership earlier this month, replacing Justin Trudeau.
The short campaign will likely have a large focus on how the federal leaders will be dealing with the tariff war with the United States.
The 37 day campaign is the shortest allowed for a federal election. Advance voting days will be held on Friday, April 18th, Saturday, April 19th, Sunday, April 20th, and Monday, April 21st.
You can also vote early at any Elections Canada office, or by mail.
