The Comox Valley Regional District is wrapping up a survey on its Parks and Trails Strategic Plan, which will guide how the CVRD plans for, manages, and invests in developing the new Regional Parks and Trails system over the next 20+ years.
It’s already received input from K’ómoks First Nation, interest groups, partners, and the broader community through Phase One and Phase Two that helped shape the directions of the Strategic Plan.
Cumberland Mayor Vicky Brown, also the Chair of the Regional Parks and Trails Committee, says they’ll be finalizing the plan this fall.
Implementing the strategic plan, she says, will benefit conservation and recreation opportunities in the region for years to come.
