Today is the last day for Cumberland residents to offer up input on the village’s Official Community Plan.
175 people took part in a community street event in May and the Village is still seeking input, with a first round of consultations online at Official Community Plan Review today is the deadline to have your say.
Residents can share their favourite places in the Village, add long-term visions for Cumberland, and identify issues they would like to discuss during the next round of public engagement.
The OCP lays out the long-term vision to guide growth and change in the community over the next 10 years and beyond.
It also sets priorities for housing, climate change, economic development, transportation and mobility, infrastructure, heritage protection, arts and culture, food systems, parks and recreation, environmental protection, and overall community well-being.
More public discussion is expected in the fall, to explore goals and policies for future land use in the Village, how to manage growth, provide affordable housing, respond to climate change, further economic development, preserve heritage, and identify priorities for the park system.
