The funeral for RCMP Constable Shaelyn Yang will be held today in Richmond.
Thousands of first responders - from across Canada and Washington State, will gather to pay their respects to the fallen mental health and homeless outreach officer, who was stabbed to death two weeks ago.
The RCMP says members of the Armed Forces, Canada Border Services Agency, sheriffs, firefighters, and BC Ambulance Service will join as many as 2-thousand officers from B.C. and as far away as Ontario in this morning's funeral procession to the Richmond Olympic Oval.
Another 15-hundred officers will attend the service.
Yang's family said in a statement they are grateful for all the condolences and support they have received as they go through immense grief.
The public can watch the service on the RCMPs Youtube channel - local broadcasters should also be airing part or all of the service, starting around 11am.
