November 28 was ‘Giving Tuesday’, a Canada wide initiative for non-profit organizations to encourage donations in their community.
Louise Daviduck is the executive director of the Campbell River Hospice Society and says their 5th Annual Holiday fundraising campaign is now underway.
The Society's services are available in client’s homes, long-term facilities, the hospital, four publicly funded hospice beds at Yucalta Lodge, and the privately funded Hospice suites at Evergreen Seniors Home.
Their comprehensive variety of grief support services starts as young as four years old.
Daviduck says since the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for the work that they do has increased exponentially.
The campaign runs until December 30th & the goal is $45,000.
You can make a one-time donation or become a monthly donor online at Campbell River Hospice Society, in person at 440 Evergreen Road or by calling 250-286-1121.
All donations over $20 will receive a full charitable Tax receipt.
