A GoFundMe page has been set up for a 19 year old Comox Valley woman, facing a life-altering challenge.

Taylor Parker, a 2023 graduate of Vanier Secondary, suffered a severe neck injury in August.

It has left her with no feeling from her chest down, and a long road ahead in terms of  rehabilitation and recovery.

The GoFundMe page explains that Taylor underwent an intense 6-hour surgery, marking the beginning of her road to recovery.

While her family and friends are rallying around her to ensure she receives the best possible care, the medical expenses, equipment, and rehabilitation costs are expected to be high.

Donations big and small are pouring in from the community.

The GoFundMe has collected about $75 thousand toward a $100-thousand goal.
