The chair of the House of Commons transport committee says Canadians deserve answers after hundreds were left stranded amidst dozens of cancelled flights, and a lot of lost luggage.
There are about 1,500 unclaimed, checked bags sitting at Vancouver International Airport.
The airport says it's making steady progress on reuniting passengers with their bags.
MP Peter Schiefke tweeted that he plans to convene a committee meeting and calls for representatives from Sunwing to appear as witnesses.
Schiefke said Canadians deserve answers for “unacceptable delays and cancellations” over the holiday season.
“It will be an important discussion,” Transport Minister Omar Alghabra tweeted afterwards. “Canadians deserve answers.”
He also wants VIA Rail on the line after severe delays on the tracks.
Sunwing says it now has all stranded passengers back from Canada - even as some say they were sent to airports in other provinces, forced to rent cars and drive the rest of the way.
Last week, the vacation destination airline announced it was cancelling all flights from Regina and Saskatoon until early February due to extenuating circumstances.
