The province’s independent investigations office is looking into a crash in Comox.
On Sunday, February 12, police had a road blocked near Seal Bay Provincial Park, off Bates Road.
They noticed a car do a U-turn before the blockade and head in the other direction.
An officer followed and soon found the car had crashed - the driver suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The IIO - which investigates incidents where there are injuries and police are involved - is now trying to determine if the actions of police contributed to the crash.
The IIO is asking any person with relevant information, or dashcam or other video footage of the incident to please contact the Witness Line toll-free at 1-855-446-8477 or via the contact form on the iiobc.ca website.
