If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to try to settle down as a newcomer in the region, the Immigrant Welcome Centre will be able to shed some light.
The group is hosting community forums in Campbell River and Courtenay next month - where participants will be given a name tag with someone else’s name.
The pseudonym will be accompanied by a card that shares a piece of an immigrant’s story about settling on the North Island.
That card will be the start of a journey to find and access the various community services needed to help you settle in a new hometown.
Registration now for the Campbell River Forum, November 8 from 2 AM to 4 PM at Robron Centre or the Courtenay Forum, November 2018 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Native Sons Hall.
