Investigation Continues After Pedestrian Struck And Killed In Courtenay

The investigation continues after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Courtenay on Friday.

Comox Valley RCMP received a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on Ryan Rd., in Courtenay about 3am Friday morning.

Despite the efforts of first responders the 44-year old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and the investigation is continuing; however, police say initial evidence suggests “criminality is not a factor.”
