Island Health has issued a Drug Poisoning Advisory for Campbell River and Mt. Waddington.
The health authority is advising residents that people are facing a greater risk from using opioids and stimulants and face increased risk from both injection and inhalation.
If someone overdoses, call 911 and stay with them, administer Naloxone if available, and administer 1 breath every 5 seconds.
Advisories for both Campbell River and Mt. Waddington were issued yesterday and are active for 7 days.
