The Comox Valley Airport Commission has announced the appointment of Jeff West to the board, serving on the governance committee.
West is the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North. Prior to this role, he served as Regional Director for BC Ferries for 11 years, overseeing operations, public consultation, and terminal expansion projects for 25 ferry terminals across the North Island and North Coast.
With 17 years in leadership positions at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), West contributed to its transition from federal operation to a locally managed, not-for-profit airport authority.
He also played a key role in the Vancouver 2010 Olympics as Venue General Manager and has experience as the owner of an electrical contracting business in the Comox Valley.
Airport Commission Chair Bill Anglin says West’s extensive experience in airport operations, transportation planning, and community-focused development will be invaluable as YQQ explores how best to expand and evolve to meet the needs of the growing region.
