Kindergarten Registration Opening For 2024-2025 School Year

Kindergarten registration is just around the corner for the 2024-25 school year. For Comox Valley Schools, registration opens January 16 for Indigenous, French Immersion and Montessori programs.

Registration for neighbourhood schools opens January 23.

To be eligible for enrolment into Kindergarten a child must be five (5) years of age by December 31, 2024.

The Indigenous, French Immersion and Montessori programs include Early French Immersion (École Robb Road or École Puntledge Park), Montessori programs (Queneesh or Courtenay Elementary) and the Indigenous program (École Puntledge Park).

Placements are on a first come, first served basis in the order received. Siblings of current students in the programs will have priority.

Most students will attend their neighbourhood school.

Parents/guardians are asked to register their children at their current neighbourhood school beginning on January 23.

Registering will help ensure there is a spot available in the local catchment.

Registration for Kindergarten in School District 72 begins January 29th. Families should register by May 13 to secure their space in their neighbourhood school.
