Candidates hoping to run in the October 15th election must have their papers in by today's deadline.

Packages can still be picked up at your local city or town hall or can be found on line as well.

In terms of how to vote, lots of options available for residents, including by mail.

All eligible voters who are on the voters list and who wish to vote by mail ballot must apply to receive a mail ballot voter package.

It's suggested you apply no later than Thursday, October 13 to provide sufficient time to receive and return the mail ballot.

Town of Comox Chief Election Officer Shelly Russwurm says it's up to resident who vote mail to have their ballot in on time - it can be delivered to Town Hall by end of day on Friday, October 14th or by when the polls close on the 15th, at the Comox Community Centre.

Voters in Comox will be asked to elect one mayor and six councilors and one school trustee for School District No. 71.

The citizens of Campbell River will elect one mayor, six councilors, and five school trustee candidates for School District 72.

Voters can also vote in-person at advance voting days beginning Wednesday, October 5th, or on election day, October 15.
