London Drugs stores across Western Canada remain closed following a cybersecurity incident.
The chain says it closed the stores out of an abundance of caution until further notice.
Upon discovering the incident, London Drugs said it immediately undertook counter measures to protect its network and data, including retaining leading third-party cybersecurity experts to assist with containment, remediation and to conduct a forensic investigation.
At this time, the retailer says it has no reason to believe that customer or employee data has been impacted.
Yesterday, London Drugs shut down their phone lines, temporarily, to be restored as soon as the investigation is complete.
In the interim, Pharmacy staff were on-site at all locations to support customers with urgent pharmacy needs.
